Helium leak detector improved sensitivity speed choke
To achieve the best of steady sensitivity of a leak detector and the best of opening the valve for quick clean up, a gate valve was installed with a predetermined hole drilled in the seat plate and positioned between a diffusion pump and pumping system isolation valve. The technique was tried on a mass spectromeer leak detector. (LEW)
