A fast-neutron flux measuring method was developed by measuring the amount of /sup 54/Mn formed by the /sup 54/Fe(n,p)/sup 54/Mn reaction. The 0.84 MeV ..gamma.. ray of /sup 54/Mn was measured with a ..gamma..-ray spectrometer. The method is applicable to measurement of neutron fluxes in the approximate range from 10/sup 9/ neutrons/cm/sup 2/.s to 10/sup 15/ neutrons/cm/sup 2/.s. (BLM)
