Effluents from municipal wastewater treatment facilities have been diluted and these solutions employed as an environment for three species of fish. The analysis of selected organochlorine compounds as well as the total ECD response has been used in order to gain a dose-response curve. Additionally, fish biles have been analyzed for these compounds as well as for benzo(a)pyrene metabolites. The simplified analysis for the latter will be discussed. In addition, related trace metal analyses are reported.
