This paper presents the results obtained in the study of the kinetics of solid-phase reduction of Kyzyl-kum phosphorites having the natural acidity ratio (M /sub a/) with semicoke produced from Kansk-Achinsk coal. In the investigation of the kinetics of reduction of phosphorite-carbon granules prepared from the referred materials, the authors studied the effect of the semicoke content in the granule, acidity ratio of the phosphate ore, and temperature on the kinetic parameters of the process. It was determined that Kyzyl-Kum phosphorites can be processed in the solid-phase regime. Determination of the variation in the reduction rate with the amount of the reductant showed that carbon content exceeding 30% on weight of the charge does not materially affect the process rate.
