Legislative and judicial activities concerning the environmental impact and prevention of impacts from electric power operations are discussed. Recent state and federal legislation governing the transport of radioactive materials, the disposal of hazardous wastes, power plant emission control, and effluent guidelines is reported. EPA enforcement of the Clean Air Act of 1977 and the Federal Water Pollution Control Act of 1972 is surveyed. (numerous references,)
