Multiplicity of. pi. /sup -/ mesons produced in nC and nTa interactions at p = 4. 2 GeV/c

Average multiplicities of secondary ..pi../sup -/ mesons have been measured in inelastic nC and nTa interactions at p = 4.2 GeV/c. Interactions of neutrons with C and Ta nuclei were separated from dC and dTa collisions on the basis of the presence in them of stripping protons, for which momentum and angular distributions were obtained. We report also the average momentum and angular characteristics of ..pi../sup -/ mesons in nC and nTa interactions.
