Partial photonucleon cross sections and a semidirect mechanism for the /sup 31/P giant dipole resonance decay

Partial photonucleon cross sections obtained from the (..gamma..,X..gamma..') experiment for the /sup 31/P nucleus are analyzed. The shell structure and excitation and decay properties of the giant dipole resonance (GDR) of /sup 31/P are discussed. An estimate of the semidirect component of the partial and total integrated photonucleon cross sections of the /sup 31/P nucleus was obtained by comparison of photonucleon reactions with direct single-nucleon-transfer reactions.
