In a bremsstrahlung beam with end-point energy 32 MeV the ..gamma..-ray spectra from the /sup 32/S(..gamma..,p,..gamma..')/sup 31/P reaction have been measured by means of a 100-cm/sup 3/ Ge(Li) detector. The detection angle was 140/sup 0/. The integrated values of the partial cross sections for population of individual states of the final nuclei /sup 31/P and /sup 31/S have been obtained. On the basis of isospin symmetry for nucleon decays, using experimental data on the energy dependence of the partial photoproton cross sections, we have obtained both the partial and total photoneutron cross sections for the /sup 32/S nucleus. The semidirect components of the photoproton and photoneutron cross sections as well as the cross sections for photoabsorption by the /sup 32/S nucleus are found, and also the probabilities are determined for the semidirect mechanism of decay of the giant dipole resonance of this nucleus for various photodisintegration channels.
