The purpose of S. 2279 is to direct the Secretary of the Interior to receive, consider, and act upon any petition of David Fasken, lessee of record of terminated oil and gas lease New Mexico 33955, for reinstatement of said lease filed within ninety days after the effective day of the bill. There was much discussion to reinstate a lease which had been automatically terminated unless the rental is tendered within 20 days of the due date. (DP)
