Amorphous silicon solar cells by hydrogen implantation. Monthly technical status report No. 1, January 1979

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6509603
The purpose of this program is to confirm or disprove that ion implantation can be a useful technique in the preparation of material for an amorphous silicon solar cell. Effort under the program during January 1979 involved the following: development of a technical plan; evaluation of procedures and identification of required fixtures for the fabrication of a standard test cell configuration; development of procedures for the evaluation of material photoconductivity and transmittance characteristics and of test device performance; and consideration of special implantation requirements and initiation of procurement action for necessary implanter modification components.
