Journal Article · · Inorg. Mater. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:6097689
The authors have studied the process of phase formation in the system Sb/sub 2/O/sub 3/-Ta/sub 2/O/sub 5/-KHF/sub 2/-H/sub 2/O/sub 2/-H/sub 2/O in relation to the physicochemical parameters of hydrothermal crystallization, and have outlined the region of formation of single crystals of SbTaO/sub 4/ in the coordinates (N, C) (N being the molar ratio Sb/sub 2/O/sub 3//Ta/sub 2/O/sub 5/ and C the concentration of the aqueous solutions of KHF/sub 2/). They have revealed the laws of growth of SbTaO/sub 4/ on a seed in relation to the concentration of the solvent, the temperature gradient, and the temperature. They have studied the dielectric properties of the grown crystals of antimony orthotantalate and have shown the promise of these crystals in today's technology.
