Vector-meson polarization in the inclusive process e/sup +/e/sup -/. -->. VX in QCD

We have studied the inclusive process e/sup +/e/sup -/..-->..VX within the framework of quantum chromodynamics. We have shown that the polarization of the produced vector meson depends significantly on its transverse momentum p/sub perpendicular/ with regard to the jet axis. This dependence gives rise to a certain p/sub perpendicular/ -dependent shape of the angular distribution of the decay products of the vector meson. The relative multiplicity of the pseudovector and vector mesons in the e/sup +/e/sup -/-annihilation process is also determined by p/sub perpendicular/.
