A gas-filled photoelectric detector of Moessbauer gamma radiation is described that registers electrons produced as a result of interaction of resonance gamma quanta with a thin metal foil that does not contain resonant nuclei. For gamma fluxes of approx. 3 mCi/cm/sup 2/, the ratio of the count rate in the spectrum region under study to the count rate beyond resonance is reduced by a total of 20% as compared with a flux of approx. 0.3 mCi/cm/sup 2/.
