Photothermomagnetic effect and. mu. -photoconductivity of Cd/sub x/Hg/sub 1-x/Te

Samples of n-type with x=0.18-0.20 were subjected to lambda=8 mm microwave radiation. The photothermomagnetic effect and the ..mu..-photoconductivity were investigated at 4.2/sup 0/K in magnetic fields up to 8 kOe. Both effects were found to be due to electron heating by the microwave field.(AIP)
