Photothermomagnetic effect in Cd/sub 0. 15/Hg/sub 0. 85/Te in the millimeter range

Journal Article · · Sov. Phys. - Semicond. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5504474
The photothermomagnetic emf was determined as a function of temperature (2--4/sup 0/K), incident radiation (37 GHz) power, and magnetic field (up to 45 kOe). All these dependences were explained by considering electron heating (by the incident radiation) and the various mechanisms of energy loss by hot carriers. (AIP)
