Running tests of 12,000-kW refuse-burning power plant in Tokyo Katsushika Refuse-Collecting Plant

Journal Article · · Electr. Eng. Jpn. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
Tokyo Metropolitan Government constructed a 12,000-kW refuse-burning power station at Tokyo Katsushika refuse-collecting plant and carried out performance tests from October to December in 1976. Test results were very satisfactory and it is thought that the refuse-burning power generation is not only useful for energy conservation but also for effective utilization of the refuse. Results of the running test are presented and the features of the refuse-burning power station and the principle of planning and operation of the refuse-burning station are discussed.
