Part 3 of the hearing record covers three days of hearings and the testimony of 19 witnesses on natural gas prices and supplies. Three bills, H.R. 2499, H.R. 2508, and H.R. 2565, would amend the Natural Gas Policy Act to relieve some of the impacts of deregulation. Among the issues discussed were long-term contracts, imports of Canadian gas, and incentives to increase production. Material submitted for the record follows the text of the three bills and testimony from witnesses representing the gas industry, consumers, and regulators. (DCK)
