This document presents a summary description of the Bonneville Power Administration 20-year forecast of electricity consumption in the Pacific Northwest for the years 1986 to 2006. This is the fifth year BPA has prepared a long-range forecast for use in meeting the agency's internal planning needs. The forecast consists of high, medium and low case sceanrios. By developing a range of load projections, BPA is better able to reflect the uncertainty inherent in the forecasting process. As in previous years, the final medium projection has been produced by merging serparate results from BPA's long-term and midterm forecasts.
