S. 3085 would limit the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission over local distribution company wholesalers of natural gas for ultimate consumption as a fuel in motor vehicles in order to insure an equal opportunity for full market development of natural gas as a vehicular fuel. The definitions include compressed natural gas, and vehicle includes automobiles, trucks, buses, vans, on-road or off-road motor vehicles, and boats.
