This bill would limit the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission over local distribution company wholesalers of natural gas for ultimate consumption as a fuel in a motor vehicle. The purpose of this bill is to insure an equal opportunity for natural gas to develop as a vehicular fuel and to remove aspects of Natural Gas Act regulation that may inhibit the development of natural gas in vehicle fuel markets. The fuel includes compressed natural gas and motor vehicles include any automobile, truck, bus, van, or other on-road or off-road vehicles, including boats.
