The Tb-Ni-B system and New Nd/sub 3/Ni/sub 13/B/sub 2/ borides

This paper investigates the interaction of the components in rare earth-transition metal-boron ternary systems. The authors establish the structures of the ternary compounds in the Tb-Ni-B system. On the basis of x-ray phase analysis of 246 samples, the authors construct isothermal sections of the phase diagram of the equilibrium system Tb-Ni-B and determine the crystal structure of Tb/sub 3/Ni/sub 13/B/sub 2/.
