First results are presented on the production of ..gamma.. rays, ..lambda.. hyperons, and K/sup 0//sub S/ mesons in dTa and CTa interactions at momentum 4.2 GeV/c per nucleon. The average multiplicities of these particles are determined. It is shown that the average multiplicities of ..gamma.. rays (..pi../sup 0/ mesons), ..lambda.., and K/sup 0//sub S/ in the transition from dTa to CTa interactions increase in proportion to the average number of interacting nucleons of the projectile nucleus. The following average characteristics of the ..pi../sup 0/ mesons are obtained:

,

0, and , which agree within experimental error with

,

/sup pi-/, and in the corresponding types of interactions. Analysis of CTa interactions with production of ..lambda.. hyperons has shown that about 40% of ..lambda.. hyperons are beyond the limits of the kinematic region for the reaction NN..-->..N..lambda..K, and the average multiplicity of all charged particles and also of negative particles in events with ..lambda.. hyperons is significantly higher than in all CTa interactions. The CTa interactions which lead to production of ..lambda.. hyperons are more central than the average CTa interaction.
