Journal Article · · Fed. Regist. (Wash., D.C.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5149017
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposes to revise the existing regulations governing the NPDES program to reflect new controls on toxic and hazardous pollutants under the 1977 amendments to the Clean Water Act. The proposed rule indicates how ''best management practices'' for onsite industrial activities (such as materials storage and waste disposal) may be imposed in NPDES permits to prevent the release of toxic and hazardous pollutants to surface waters. Comments must be received by the EPA on or before 10/31/78.
