Effect of flotation reagents on the process of thermal destruction of coal

Journal Article · · Coke Chem. USSR (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5134326
Flotation concentrate contains reagents which affect the subsequent decarbonization process and products. Derivatographic analysis was applied to selected gas, fat and coking coals, and the results show a clear endothermic effect which reflects the complications introduced by the flotation reagents. Whereas organic reagents promote reactivity in gas coal, they exert the opposite effect in fat and coking coal. 5 references
