UPTAKE OF RADIOACTIVE IRON (Fe$sup 59$) BY RAT BONE MARROW MEGAKARYOCYTE IN VIVO (in German)

A study of the uptake of Fe/sup 59/ by bone marrow megakaryocytes was made using albino rats. Each animal received intraperitoneal injections of Fe/ sup 59/. After 48 hours the femora were removed, and random sections 5 mu thick were used for autoradiographic exposures. Good uptake of the Fe/sup 59/ was found. (J.S.R.)
