>The change in the metabolism of tissue proteins was studied, using the rate of S/sup 35/ uptake in dogs irradiated with a dose of 465 r. The results showed a direct relation between weight loss and change in tissue albumen synthesis. It was shown that the biosymthesis is disturbed only during the acute stages of the radiation sickness, and the change takes place only in the blood albumen, liver tissue, and skeletal muscles.
