It was found that the rate of absorption of digested albumen products was not affected during the latent or acute periods of radiation sickness. In acute lethal radiation sickness the adsorption mechanism was not disturbed even during the final pathomorphological changes in the mucous membranes of the small intestine. (R.V.J.)
