The phase diagram of Mn--Re alloy was constructed on the basis of microstructure, x-ray diffraction, thermal, and microhardness analyses. The alloys containing 0.2, solves in alpha Mn and starting with 5.5 at% Re the alloy forms two-phase structure. With increased content of Re the amount of sigma phase increases. (R.V.J.)
