Relation between 59Fe incorporation and maturation of rat bone marrow megakaryocytes in vivo

· Experimental Cell Research
The incorporation of Fe59 by the nucleus and cytoplasm of megakaryocytes at different stages of maturation was measured in 1000 cells. Results indicate that total incorporation of Fe per cell increases with an increase in the number of nuclear tabulation, suggesting a relation between differentiation and nuclear incorporation.
