THE LUMINESCENT PROPERTIES OF ZnS-Cu IN DEPENDENCE ON THE METHOD OF PREPARATION (in German)

The various effects of the method of preparation on the luminescent properties of ZnS(Cu) luminophors are indicated. The precipitation method plays in this respect a significant and often overlooked roll. The possibility of preparing ZnS phosphors at low temperatures is discussed. The occurrence of two different Cu emission bands is seen in connection with the crystal structure of the system, for which the results of the Temper series correspond. The growth of ZnS single crystals, their luminescence, and diffusion processes of Cu are described. (tr-auth)
