Status ss reported for the research program to determine if Acantharia, a plankton having a SrSO/sub 4/ skeleton, plays a part in the capture and distribution of Sr natural and radioactive isotopes in the food chain. A positive correlation was found between the Sr content in plankton and the relative amounts of Acantharia in the plankton. Work was started on the determination of radiostrontium and on the reproductive activity of Acantharia. (D.L.C.)
