Design and development activities related to the Army Boiling Water Reactor Program are summarized. Development and evaluation are reported on control rod drive mechanisms, plant simulation, core assemblies, control rods, and PL production fuel elements. Completion of the refueling equipment design is reported, and design of the radioactive gas handling equipment is in progress. A primary shield analysis is in progress. A draft of the startup procedure was prepared and a procedure for shutdown is being written. The status of the facility design and fabrication is reported along with development of an experimental program. Data are also given for comparison of the mock-up and PL-2 cores. (J.R.D.)
