The French Patent 1,188,113 describes a boiling water reactor in association with a thermal power station. The steam demand of this station is controlled by an organ connected with the organs controlling the reactivity of the reactor. According to the present addition, these organs controlling the reactivity may be associated with means permitting the measurement of the variations of the working pressure of the power station. In the case that the reactivity of the reactor is controlled by a vibration induced in the fuel elements, this vibration may extend to the coolant passing through the reactor. Preferably, the means for decreasing the steam demand or said pressure does not begin to work before the means for reducing the activity has begun to work. (NPO)
