Data fronof gamma ray posnt source experiments with two The shielding properties of three lead glasses with densities of 3.86, 4.77, and 6.73 g/cm3 were calculated, tabulating thickness vs. attenuation of the broad beam of gamma radiation at various energies. The buildup factors needed in the calculations were determined on the basis of G. Gol'dshtein's method (Principles of Reactor Shielding, Gosatomizdat, 1961). The accuracy of the calculations is 5 to 6% for the 3-Mev gamma -ray quanta and varies between 6 and 20% for the 10-Mev radiation. (TTT)
