ISOMER ENERGY SHIFTS OF THE 23.8 Kev $gamma$-TRANSITION IN THE Sn$sup 119$ NUCLEUS (in Russian)

The isomer shifts for the 23.8-kev gamma-transition in Sn/sup 119/ in various chemical compounds containing tin are determined by measuring the resonance absorption of gamma quanta by nuclei in crystals. A possible qualitative interpretation of the observed shifts is discussed. It is suggested that the variation of the effective proton distribution radius in the nucleus takes place upon excitation of the Sn/sup 119/ nucleus, and that the proton core of the Sn/sup 119/ nucleus in the excited state does not have a spherically symmetric shape.
