SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SPECTRA OF RESONANCE ABSORPTION OF 23.8 kev $gamma$-RAYS BY Sn$sup 119$ NUCLEI (in Russian)
The probabilities for absorption of 23.8 kev gamma quanta by Sn/sup 119/ without recoil energy losses are measured for 14 tin-containing compounds at 77 and 300 deg K temperature. A very weak temperature dependence of this probability was observed for some of the compounds. The main regularities pertaining to the magnitude of the chemical isomer shifts and the magnitude of quadrupole interaction are qualitatively interpreted on basis of simple assumptions regarding the nature of the chemical bond in tin compounds. The interpretation proposed confirms a suggestion previously made that excitation of the Sn/sup 119/ causes an increase of the effective radius of the nuclear charge distribution. (auth)
