Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4795374
A discussion is given of the design status and the construction progress of the Douglas Point Project. The design parameters are included. The heat source is a CANDU reactor rated at 694 Mw(t), and the generating station output is 200 Mw(e). The reactor type is natural UO/sub 2/ fueled, heavy water cooled and moderated, with a horizontal pressure-tube construction Entrance and exit coolant conditions are, respectively, 480 deg F and 1441 psia, and 560 deg F and 1345 psia. The generating station efficiency is rated at 29.1% over-all. (B.O.G.)
