GAMMA-RAY TRANSITIONS IN $sup 32$S FOLLOWING PROTON CAPTURE BY $sup 31$P

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4792500
Gamma spectra, angular distributions, and coincidence spectra were studied in the reaction P/sup 31/(p, gamma )Sa/sup 32/ at bombarding energies of 355, 440, and 540 kev. Several cascades were identified and branching ratios were measured. The spins and parities of the 9.39, 9.29, 9.21, and 4.70 Mev levels in S/sup 32/ were found to be 2/sup (-), 1/sup +/, (/sup +/) and 1/sup +/ , respectively. (auth)
