INFLUENCE OF X-RAYS ON INFECTION WITH CANDIDA ALBICANS IN MICE

Journal Article · · Nichidai Igaku Zasshi (Japan)

Various doses of whole-body x irradiation were given to mice, followed by the inoculation of Candida albicans. When a small dose of radiation was given the survival rate was about the same as in the control group. If, however, a large amount of Candida albicans was inoculated, the mortality rate was definitely higher in the irradiation group. (Abstr. Japan Med., 2: No. 3, March 1962)
