A SIMPLE TRANSISTORIZED FAST COINCIDENCE CIRCUIT WITH A WIDE ENERGY RANGE. (FROM 30 kev)

Journal Article · · Nucl. Instr. Methods

A fast coincidence circuit is described. The circuit is suitable for fast coincidences of pulses of different amplitudes. Pulses originating from two photomultipliers were used, with 30 kev and 500 kev gamma rays respectively. Two fast mesa transistors form, with a single delay line, the shaper and coincidence stage. A tunnel-diode serves as a discriminator and output stage. Simplicity and short resolving time (8.5 nsec) are the main features of the circuit. (auth)
