OSTI ID:4756827
A device is described for removing from a reactor fuel rods, sheaths, or control rods that have undergone such damage as to make it impossible to use conventional unloading means. The device is essentially a heavy cylindrical body provided at the botiom with three vertical fingers, each of which has a recess on its face coming in contact with the element to be removed. A ball or roller located in each recess engages the element when the device is raised. (R.J.S.)
