The energy spectra of 2.76 Mev neutrons scattered on aluminium are measured at 30 deg , 60 deg , 90 deg and 120 deg , by means of nuclear emulsion detectors. Discrete neutron groups, corresponding to nuclear levels of energy 1.013 Mev and 1.91 Mev are investigated. The total cross section for the emission of neutrons from aluminium is obtained by transmission measurement, and the result compared with an optical model calculation. (auth)
