An anion resin with an exchange capacity of 0.03 milliequivalents per gram was made from scintillating beads containing 9,10-diphenylanthracene as a wave shifter. The pulse-height reduction was approximately 25% (compared with the untreated beads). By comparison, the best anion resin preparation reported in the second progress report had an exchange capacity of 0.016 milliequivalents with a pulse-height reduction of 33%. (J.R.D.)
