In an effort to produce a scintillating anion resin attempts were made to introduce quaternary ammonium groups into the resin made of cross-linked polyvinyltoluene with a minimum loss in pulse height. Studies were made of reaction temperature, time, and solvents as well as different light-wave shifters. Multiple simultaneous experiments were made to obtain valid comparisons of polymerization initiators and suspension stabilizers. (M.C.G.)
