THE THERMAL EXPANSION OF ThC AND ThN

The cubic lattice parameters of ThC and ThN were measured from room temperature to 900 deg C. The average linear thermal expansion coefficients were found to be: ThC -- (6.53 plus or minus 0.071) x 10/sup -6// deg C, ThN -- (7.39 plus or minus 0.042) x 10/sup -6// deg C. (auth)
