Journal Article · · Folia Biologica (Prague) (Czechoslovakia)
OSTI ID:4737346
Eighteen patients with disseminated tumors and two with small, localized tumors of varying types and localizations were treated with large doses of nitrogen mustard and autologous bone marrow. In two patients the operation was performed twice. Three other patients were irradiated with a whole-body dose of 200, 400, and 600 r instead of being given nitrogen mustard. Hematological changes, tolerance of large doses of nitrogen mustard, and toxic manifestations, and therapeutic results are discussed. (auth)
