NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE AND PREFERRED ORIENTATION IN HOT-PRESSED POLYCRYSTALLINE BeO
Cylindrical samples of polycrystalline BeO were prepared by hot-pressing at 1700 deg C and cooling to room tempernture at a cortrolled rate. Sufficient preferred orientation was observed in the samples to allow the quadrupolar splitting to be measured. Nuclear magnetic resonance mode spectra are shown for the samples under various experimertal conditions. (H.D.H.)
