CONDUCTOMETRIC STUDIES ON PRECIPITATION OF THORIUM AS SELENITE

Journal Article · · Z. Anorg. Allgem. Chem.
A conductometric study on the precipitation of thorium as selenite is descnibed. Both direct and reverse conductometric tltration procedures were shown to be feasible over the rarge 0.02 to 0.002 M thorium. The effect of addition of ethanol was also investigated, and it was shown that only the normal selenite with a Th: Se ratio of 1:2 is formed in aqueous solutions. In alcoholic medium the ratio is between 1:2 and 1: 1.4. (auth)
