CHEMISTRY OF THORIUM. PART V. AN ELECTROMETRIC STUDY OF THE QUANTITATIVE PRECIPITATION OF THORIUM AS NORMAL TELLURITE

Journal Article · · Journal of the Indian Chemical Society (India) Absorbed Indian J. Appl. Chem.
OSTI ID:4633895

The results of a series of conductometric titrations of thorium(IV) against potassium tellurite with an overall concentration of 30-40% ethanol are reported. The possibility of carrying out direct as well as reverse titrations over a satisfactory range of thorium concentration was concluded and the effect of ethanol concentration was also studied, which, under cited conditions, lends support to the formation of thorium tellurite (molar ratio of Th: Te being 1: 2).
