Journal Article · · HNO (West Germany)
OSTI ID:4713209
The case history of a woman who developed a benign cervical tumor containing large deposits of ThO/sub 2/, 20 yr after carotid angiography with Thorotrast, is described and 14 similar cases reported in the literature are reviewed. The thorotrastoma in the present case consisted largely of a cellular fibrous tissue containing giant cells and ThO/sub 2/ deposits free in the tissue and within histiocytes. The course of development of tissue reactions to Thorotrast is described. (H.H.D.)
